Andalucía has registered a total of 2,590 new cases of coronavirus this Thursday, 8 April, higher than the 1,767 on Wednesday and it is the highest daily figure since 13 February, according to data from the Junta's Ministry of Health, which has also recorded 17 deaths, some 21 fewer than the day before.
The cumulative incidence rate of the region has risen again to 180.6 per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, 17.2 points more than Wednesday.
By province, Granada and Seville have exceeded 500 new infections with 573 and 567, respectively, followed by Malaga with 332, Cadiz with 308, Jaén with 260, Almeria with 192, Cordoba with 180 and Huelva with 178.
The 17 coronavirus deaths recorded in the region in the last 24 hours have been registered after 38 on Wednesday, 34 on Tuesday, 17 on Monday and 20 on Saturday.
The number of Covid-19 patients in Andalusian hospitals has risen for the sixth consecutive day to 1,340, six more than the day before and 213 more than last Thursday, of which 288 are in an intensive care unit - some three fewer than Wednesday but 38 more than seven days ago.
