Firefighters have safely rescued a dog that had fallen around 20 metres down the iconic gorge in Ronda.
The incident happened on Sunday, 28 February, when the animal plunged down the gorge, in Malaga province, before thicket cushioned its fall as it landed on a ledge.
One of the firefighters abseiled to where the dog was to attach a harness and raise it to safety to be reunited with its relieved owner.
The dog is reported to be in a “good condition” despite its frightening ordeal.
