The McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Malaga mall, part of the Plaza Mayor complex close to Malaga Airport, has announced that it has had three million visitors since opening in February last year.
Bosses at the British-owned operation said that this is "positive" news, "despite the impact of the pandemic, in terms of the number of visitors, the growth in brand names taking up shop units and the high level of visitor satisfaction".
The mall, which specialises in upscale branded fashion and goods at discounted prices, reopened in June last year after being forced to shut during lockdown in spring. Since then it has added new names to its range including Prada, Burberry, Armani and Furla, as well as Spanish brands Bimba y Lola, Ecoalf and Silbon.
Some of these have opened their first ever store in the south of Spain in Malaga, said McArthurGlen.
