Construction worker rushed to hospital after landslide in Estepona

The emergency services have rescued a worker who was trapped after a landslide at a construction site in Estepona, this Thursday (25 February).

The event happened around 1.45pm when the 112 Andalucía emergency control room received an alert that a man had been trapped after a landslide on a site at the junction of Calle Dámaso Alonso and Calle Pilar Bardem.

Firefighters rescued the 42-year-old victim, who had leg injuries after being trapped, before an ambulance rushed him to the Costa del Sol Hospital.

The incident has been referred to health and safety inspectors.
