Rincón de la Victoria town hall announced on Monday plans to reactivate a project to build a new park in Torre de Benagalbón.

The 80,000 square-metre park would be developed on land next to La Marina school.

Plans include a reptile and amphibian research and visitors centre, an area for entomology and insects, greenhouses and an astronomy centre.

Although a budget for the ambitious project has not been set, the town hall has already confirmed one million euros of EU funding and further funds from the provincial government.
