Police mount major anti-drug trafficking raids along the south coast of Spain

Officers from the Guardia Civil are carrying out an major operation against cocaine trafficking in the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz with early-morning raids this Thursday (11 February).

Sources have told SUR that there have been raids in the Palma-Palmilla district of Malaga city and on a farm in Alhaurín de la Torre. It is also reported that raids are also taking place in Cadiz.

According to the same sources, searches are being carried out and there have been several arrests.

The officers deployed belong to the Central Operational Unit (UCO) and the Drug Trafficking Coordination Agency (OCON), deployed by the Government in the Campo de Gibraltar and surrounding areas to take down drug trafficking gangs.
