Official figures released this Wednesday support claims that the Covid-19 pandemic is out of control in Malaga province.
There were 1,417 new infections reported, the highest jump in the number of positives during the entire coronavirus crisis, far exceeding the 1,035 cases of Monday and the 684 on Tuesday.
Another three deaths of people who suffered from an infection caused by SARS-CoV- 2 virus have been recorded, bringing the total to 35 so far in January and 816 since the health crisis began.
In the province of Malaga, only 61 recoveries have been recorded in the last 24 hours according to the statistics.
The cumulative incidence of the virus in the province has also significantly worsened with 380 positives per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, a number that is above the Andalusian average, which is 360.2.
Likewise, the contagion rate in the last seven days has grown to 238.8 cases per 100,000, while the Andalusian rate is 219.8.
