A man has been arrested after trying to flee from police in Malaga city centre after they spotted him walking on a public street without wearing a face mask – as required by the pandemic control measures.
Sources say that when the man, of sub-Saharan origin, became aware of the officers he abruptly changed direction and tried trying to escape from the scene.
However, the police patrol soon located the man and tried to search him to see there was another reason him fleeing.
The man allegedly became aggressive and reacted by hitting, kicking and biting an officer on the thigh and tried to grab the other policeman by the genitals.
After his arrest it is claimed that the man continued to behave aggressively at the police station where he was taken.
In total, three officers were injured, two of them ended up on medical leave.
