Two dead after Mijas head-on crash on New Year's Eve

Two people have died this Thursday in a head-on collision between two vehicles in the Malaga town of Mijas, according to reports from the 112 Andalucía emergency control room.

The traffic accident occurred on the A-7053 road at kilometre 5.3 at around 7.20pm when a van and a passenger car collided head-on.

Paramedics certified the deaths of the two occupants of the van at the scene.

Guardia Civil officers are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
