A man, 52, who held up two supermarkets in the space of half an hour was arrested after he allegedly told police "I didn't rob any supermarket" without having been asked.
The events took place on 26 November at around 8.30pm.
Armed with a knife and wearing a mask similar to those in the series La Casa de Papel, he first held up the Maskom on Camino de Coín.
Wearing a different mask, but otherwise the same clothes, he then did the same at El Jamón on Calle Núñez de Balboa, making off with cash.
Police stopped the man because he was behaving suspiciously but at the time he wasn't a suspect in either crime.
