The opening of the future central library in Marbella will allow some 20,000 books, which until now weren't available to the public due to lack of space, to be taken out of storage.
The construction of this new facility, on the site of the former Bonsai Museum, in the Arroyo de La Represa park, is 80 per cent complete and the building is expected open in the first quarter of next year.
The new library, for which construction began last October, comes at a cost of two million euros. It replaces the former library, located at the municipal market, which was forced to close four years ago because of leaks.
