Andalusian television and radio broadcaster RTVA is finalising plans to reduce the height of the aerial tower at its Canal Sur TV studio in Malaga.

The move comes after the civil aviation authority ruled last year that the tower was among structures blocking space required by aircraft manoeuvring to approach Malaga Airport's second runway from the south.

Other structures in the area deemed last year to be too high to allow full use of the second runway included billboards and the abandoned shell of a privately owned building.
