The president of the Junta de Andalucía regional government, Juanma Moreno, said on Thursday that, although he didn't rule out partial lockdowns locally in the future over coronavirus , "this isn't necessary" at the moment.
However the Andalusian leader did not rule out extending the compulsory use of face coverings to public spaces even where social distancing is possible, in an echo of what Catalonia and the Balearics have so far done.
Since the end of the state of alarm, each regional government is responsible for its own public health policies again, with the exception of the national rule on social distancing and wearing face coverings where this isn't possible.
Speaking on a visit to Guadix, in Granada province, Moreno said that local outbreaks in Andalucía are "very much under control" and "limited".
