An investigation is under way after a video went viral on social media showing a man shooting at images of the prime minister and other government figures at a firing range in Malaga.
The man in the video, a former legionnaire from Rincón de la Victoria, was identified and arrested last Friday, accused of making threats to institutions of the State. However, the man has insisted that he only sent the video to one friend as a joke and apologised for it going viral and any offence caused. He has been released with charges.
There have been conflicting reports about the origin of the images, however. The individual in the video claims that they were already at the firing range. The owner, however, says the images were brought in by the man who also intended to obtain a shooting licence.
