Weekend figures show one coronavirus death in Malaga province after two weeks with no fatalities

  • In Monday's Covid-19 report the daily death toll for Malaga was back to zero, with one new case diagnosed

After nearly two weeks with no coronavirus-related deaths reported in the province of Malaga, Sunday's figures showed that one patient had died, taking the local total up to 288.

Monday's figures, however, were back in line with those of previous days, with no new deaths and one new case registered.

Sunday's fatality cast a shadow over the otherwise positive report, showing just one new case diagnosed by PCR testing in Malaga province in the previous 24 hours and no new admissions to hospital.

One more case was added to the official total of recoveries, now at 3,105.

The total number of positive PCR tests for Covid-19 in Malaga province is now at 2,840 (this goes up to more than 4,500 cases taking into account rapid tests).

Twelve Covid-19 patients are in hospital in Malaga province according to Sunday's figures, two of them in intensive care.

On Monday, the Health Ministry reported a total of 25 deaths related to Covid-19 in Spain in the last week and 40 postive PCR tests in the previous 24 hours.
