Twenty-one people arrested for organising cockfights in Malaga

  • All those present were also fined for breaking the terms of the lockdown

Twenty-one people have been arrested by the National Police in Malaga for alleged animal cruelty following their apparent involvement in the organisation of clandestine cockfights that were taking place despite the state of alarm.

Those arrested, all Spanish nationals, were picked up on 11 April during a cockfight at which 32 people were in attendance, within just fifty square metres.

All of those attending were fined for lockdown breaches.
