Mijas council approved a raft of new financial measures in response to the pandemic during its first ever virtual meeting on Tuesday morning.
Among the measures approved were financial support for SMEs and self-employed and low-income families, the reopening of the municipal food bank and the cancellation of fees for 2020 for terraces, kiosks, loading and unloading, flea markets and donkey taxis.
The payment of a million euros of delayed invoices was also approved.
