Fifty-eight arrests and more than 5.5 tonnes of hashish seized in two weeks

The state of alarm may have made criminal activity more difficult, but as the Guardia Civil have shown, drug trafficking has continued despite the lockdown.

During the last two weeks, as part of 'Operación Carteia', 28 interventions in the Campo de Gibraltar area (Cadiz) have led to 58 arrests and 5.626 tonnes of hashish being seized.

In Malaga province, meanwhile, 137 kilos of hashish, three boats and a stolen vehicle have been seized, and two people arrested.
