The pedestrian bridge over the Arroyo de La Jordana is now in place, connecting the municipalities of Casares and Estepona for people travelling on foot.
The wooden bridge , which is 30 metres long and 2.4 metres wide, has cost 161,976 euros and is part of the Senda Litoral, the walking route all along the Malaga coastline which is being created by the provincial government.
This part of the project will connect the existing path to the Torre de la Sal with the promenade which was built last year from Casares del Mar to Estepona, and will also be connected to La Perla de la Bahía residential development.
Only one part of this stretch of the Coastal Path now remains to be completed, and that is the bridge over the Arroyo Parrilla on the seafront. The mayor of Casares, José Carrasco, says the council hopes this will be completed as soon as possible.
