Four Guardia Civil officers who were the first to search the house that the missing Romanian woman Dana Leonte shared with her partner Sergio Ruiz, told the court last Friday that traces of her blood could have been removed with bleach by Ruiz after he reported Leonte’s disappearance in June last year.
Investigations showed biological traces but no blood.
Ruiz’s 10-year-old daughter was asked to identify a photo of a pair of boots that she found by the bins near the house in Arenas. She said they weren’t the pair she had found.
However, the defence lawyer, Antonio Barba, said the girl may have been forced to give that answer.
