Irish man wanted for alleged child sex offences arrested in La Viñuela

  • A European arrest warrant was out for the man, originally from Dublin, for alleged offences relating to child pornography and sexual exploitation of minors

A 54-year-old Irish man with the initials M. M. was arrested by National Police officers near a residential area in La Viñuela village on Wednesday morning, where he had been residing.

The United Kingdom had issued a European arrest warrant for the man, who is originally from Dublin, on 19 October 2019 for alleged offences relating to child pornography and sexual exploitation of minors.

Once officers confirmed his identity he was arrested and placed in police custody. If found guilty he could face up to 14 years in prison for the crimes.
