Junta gives go-ahead to connect new Nerja sewage plant to electricity network

  • The town hall hopes to see the wastewater plant enter into a testing phase later this year

The Junta de Andalucía last week gave the go ahead to allow the installation of 827 metres of high tension underground electricity cables to connect Nerja's waste water station to the network.

This is the latest development in the project, which the town hall hopes to see enter into a testing phase this year.

Mayor of Nerja José Alberto Armijo said last week that he was confident that "finally 2020 will be the year that Nerja can start treating its waste water."
