  • After four years of inactivity, the centre will reopen next month, explained mayor Ángeles Muñoz

San Pedro's Centro de Transeuntes, a centre where rough sleepers can shower, rest and eat, is to reopen next month after being closed for four years.

The facility is to be managed by the Cruz Roja (Spanish Red Cross), which already runs a social emergency day unit and a night team which visits people sleeping in the street.

The centre's budget has been raised by 60,000 euros to a total of 450,000.
