Vélez-Málaga town hall has set aside two million euros for repairs to the infrastructure for its tram system, which was pulled from service in June 2012.
The town hall hopes to attract a company to undertake the work, which it failed to do when it published a call to tender in 2019.
The project would include repairs to damaged tracks, signs and electrics among other work, with a view to getting the public transport system back up and running later this year.
