A homophobic attack in Torremolinos in the early hours of Sunday has been condemned this week by the Andalusian Observatory Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.

During the alleged attack, a middle-aged gay couple on holiday from Perpignan (France) were surrounded by four young people who got out of a vehicle on a dark street in the Cuesta del Tajo area and beat them while shouting: "We're going to kick you all out of here!"

The couple had to receive hospital treatment before returning to France but will formalise their complaint to Spanish police in the coming weeks at a station close to the border.
