Businessman gifts life-saving netting to family of toddler who fell from seventh floor

Matías Lozano discovered the netting in Argentina after he almost lost a child from a fall himself

When two-year-old Álvaro escaped unhurt after falling from the window of a seventh-floor apartment in Marbella, it was described as a Christmas miracle. But now, such fortune will not be required again after local businessman Matías Lozano installed, free of charge, netting on the apartment's windows and balcony.

Matías, who himself almost lost a child from a fall, discovered the netting in Argentina and has since commercialised it in Spain through his business Happynets.

"I understand exactly what the mother went through. She would have been so scared, but it wasn't her fault, these things happen all the time. Now she can have peace of mind," he said.
