Visitors to the Marbella and Puerto Banús shoreline until mid-November will be spotting even more luxury trappings than usual. Ocean Victory, at 140 metres long one of the ten biggest superyachts in the world, will be anchored in local waters. The huge vessel belongs to Viktor Rashikov, a Russian iron and steel magnate said to be worth 7. 2 billion euros.

Despite its size (in addition to its extreme length, Ocean Victory is 28 metres wide), it only has room for 26 passengers, serviced by a crew of around 50. Registered in the Caymans, it was launched in 2014 and is said to be worth 300 million euros.

Prior to reaching the Costa, the vessel was spotted off Mallorca and Cadiz. Early last week it was moored by Puerto Banús but later moved near the central Puerto Deportivo marina, as its 71-year-old owner apparently wanted to visit the Old Town.
