Filming for the third season of Netflix's most expensive production to date, The Crown, will take place in Malaga this weekend.
SUR can confirm that scenes will be shot around the cathedral on Sunday, with streets closed off to the public as a result.
The cast will also shoot scenes at the Castañón de Mena military residence near Teatinos and at the Monte Miramar palace to the east of the city centre.
The production company for The Crown in Spain, Palma Pictures, has been based in the old tobacco factory in the city since August and has previously shot scenes in the Torremolinos congress centre (September 2018).
Malaga itself will not feature in the new season, with the locations in the province chosen to represent the British royal family's travels to various parts of the world.
Oscar winner Olivia Colman replaces Claire Foy in the role of Queen Elizabeth II for the new season which will be launched on 17 November.
