Rincón de la Victoria town hall launched a campaign on Tuesday to invite residents to send in their proposals to transform the town.
During a presentation to launch the campaign, the councillor for Resident Participation, Borja Ortiz, said "We want residents of Rincón de la Victoria to also be part of the transformation of their town." The project has been named Transforma Rincón.
Mayor Francisco Salado, who was also at Tuesday's presentation, added that the campaign is "open" and "with no ceiling nor financial limits." Residents who are over the age of 18 and registered on the town hall census (Padrón) can either vote in person at the town hall building or via an online form (ga.rincondelavictoria.es/presupuestos-participativos) until 25 September. Town hall staff will then carry out a detailed study of the proposals, before inviting residents to vote for their favourite idea from a shortlist, which is due to be available from 16 to 31 October.
