The Mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas, inaugurated a new recreational area and information centre in the Parque Los Limones earlier this week.
The park has recently undergone a complete refurbishment as part of the town hall's urban redevelopment plan, which has included the renovation of the old fountain and water mill, and the installation of the Elena Laverón sculpture 'Couple Sunbathing', which was originally situated in the Plaza de las Tres Culturas.
The old water mill has been turned into an educational centre aimed at teaching the younger generation the history of Benalmádena and the importance of the mills during the last century.
"We have built this small playground and information centre to continue giving life to this part of the town. Although it is outside the urban centre, it has much value and potential, and therefore we wanted to make it a place of recreation for locals and visitors," the mayor said.
