Cervezas Victoria, which first launched in Malaga some 90 years ago, is hoping to continue its upward trajectory by expanding its factory located in the La Azucarera industrial estate close to the city's airport.

Works, which have already begun, will last a total of four months and will allow for a 27 per cent annual increase in production.

The project, expected to be completed by October, will increase the area used for bottling and packaging and also make improvements to the energy efficiency of the entire plant.

A total of 1.2 million euros has been set aside for the improvements which will allow, according to the company, for the "production of new and exclusive formats for the province of Malaga".

The factory's normal activities will continue uninterrupted during the period of works, it has been confirmed.
