  • Survivor of 1991 ETA attack unveils plaque for avenue which will bear her name

Irene Villa was in Estepona on Monday to unveil the plaque for the avenue leading to the town's new hospital which will bear her name.

Villa, who lost both legs in an ETA attack in Madrid in 1991 at the age of 12, is heralded as an example of "courage and ability to overcome", as it says on the plaque, having gone on to become a political activist and para-alpine skier.
