Police in San Pedro have arrested a 66-year-old man from Huddersfield, UK, under a Euro arrest warrant. The man is wanted in Britain over a dozen cases of supposed fraud with a total value of 1.46 million pounds.

The arrest warrant has been out since 2008 and the fraud is linked to the sale of products to builders. Allegedly, the suppliers were paid for but never delivered.

In addition, the warrant says that money was switched to other companies by claiming that goods were ordered which were never delivered and by issuing false invoices.

It adds that the income generated was used for the man's personal expenditure, such as travel and paying maintenance to his former wife.
