La Cueva del Hundidero, El Tajo and Monte Jabalcuza declared Natural Monuments

  • A total of 40 protected sites have been added to the list

El Tajo in Ronda, La Cueva del Hundidero in Montejacque and Monte Jabalcuza in Alhaurín de la Torre, have all been added to the list of Natural Monuments in the province.

Besides these, the Junta de Andalucía has given their approval for the Peñon de Bernal and the Canales de Padules in Almeria, and Huellas Fósiles de Medusas in Constantina in Seville to be included as three important geological sites; the Holm oaks of Peana and of Marchal de Abogado in Almería as sites of biotic importance; and two more sites of mixed interest: the Cueva del Agua in Tíscar in Jaén and the Nacimiento del Riofrío in Granada.

A total of 40 protected sites have been added to the list which now totals 1,556 hectares in Andalucía.
