The statue of the Marquis of Larios is back in Malaga after spending five months being restored in Antequera while remodelling work took over the Alameda Principal.
The sculpture, made by Mariano Benlliure, will take pride of place in the City Hall courtyard before returning to its spot at the end of Calle Larios at the end of the month. The statue has gone through a restoration process by the company Chapitel, undergoing a surface clean, salt removal and corrosion elimination.
Finally, a protective coating was applied. It is open to visit Monday-Friday between 9am and 2pm and 5pm and 8pm, and on the weekends from 9am to 1.30pm.
