The municipal housing report recently approved by Manilva council estimates that the town's population will increase to 27,945 by 2023.

The Plan de la Vivienda, which aims to predict the housing needs in the area over the next five years, based its conclusions on the recent increases in the local population.

In 2016 Manilva had 14,750 inhabitants; water consumption and refuse collection figures put the population last year at 18,520. Since 2001 the population has tripled. Nearly 40% are foreign residents; the biggest group by nationality being the British, followed by Moroccans.
