A researcher at the University of Birmingham who is well known for her successful work on the Costa del Sol is carrying out a study of older British citizens' experiences of care at home.
Dr Kelly Hall will be on the coast later this month and is asking for people to volunteer for a short interview, whether they are receiving care or giving care.
Dr Hall said, "We want to learn more about people's experiences of care while living at home, whether it is in the Spanish social security system, private care or care through volunteers or family members. The work helps us understand what it is like for UK retirees in Spain who receive care and helps us influence politicians and other decision makers, so therefore people volunteering for an interview would be making an important contribution for the future." She went on to stress that the information is totally confidential and the interview can be at any convenient location at or near a volunteer's home.
