The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, has announced that the construction of the town's new hospital is finished.

The local council has paid for the building on behalf of the regional health service, and the mayor said that it was now up to the regional government to deliver its side of the deal and open the facility some time around next summer. The construction company still has some small areas to tidy up but the mayor highlighted how it had been put up "in record time".
