The Asociación Benalmádena Atención Discapacidad (ABAD) participated in the International Day of Disabled Persons on Monday. The local charity installed an information table in Arroyo de La Miel to raise sponsorship for a new care centre.

The stand was visited by the town's mayor, Víctor Navas, whose council has supported the project.

Vice president of ABAD, Teresa Muñoz, endorsed the importance of the project by saying, "We need more help and resources to provide adequate attention to people with disabilities. To do this, we want to launch a comprehensive disability care centre in Benalmádena."
