For more than forty years the inhabitants of Alhaurín el Grande have yearned for a bridge over the river Fahala and next April they could see their dreams come true.
The town hall and the provincial government have put the project out to tender with a budget of 777,550 euros and are expecting work to begin in one month. Completion of the 40-metre bridge will take about four months.
At the moment the road from Alhaurín el Grande to Villafanco del Guadalhorce goes through a ford that, whenever it rains, becomes impassable.
