Strikes in France hold up fresh produce from Costa going north

Growers of tropical fruits in Malaga province have seen their businesses affected last week by strikes in France.

The protests are over an increase on tax on fuel, and roads have been blocked, delaying fresh produce on the time-critical journey to northern countries including the UK and Ireland.

Lorries have been held up at the French border with fruit such as avocado and mango and some supermarkets have reduced or cancelled their orders.
