Repairs start on Mijas coastal walkway

It was damaged in the recent bad weather

Repair work to the stretches of the coastal walkway damaged by the recent bad weather spell in Mijas have begun.

Almost 36,000 euros are being spent to repair the paths with special security measures being implemented to guard against a repeat of the damage caused in October.

Works councillor, José Carlos Martín, said: "We had to act quickly because the bad weather caused serious damage which put beach users at serious risk of injury."
