German man dies when paraglider falls to ground at popular spot

When local police, ambulance and fire officers arrived at the scene the man was already unconscious and could only "confirm his death", a fire officer at the scene explained.

A police spokesperson said that the area is "popular for paragliding" and that "paragliders of all nationalities often meet there to practice". He added that fellow paragliders had been "shocked to hear of the man's death as he was an experienced paraglider".
