Mayor calls for inspections at the Seniors-owned home

  • Víctor Navas' family moved their grandmother from there to a different home earlier this year

The mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas, also called for the regional government's health service to carry out an inspection into conditions at the home. His family moved their grandmother from there to a different home earlier this year after she spent two months in hospital with an infected leg. It was the family who spotted her condition, not the staff. "The place smelled awful and the care was inadequate," he says.

The Seniors group has six homes in Malaga province, two of them in Benalmádena. The fees are about 1800 euros a month.
