The end of roadworks on the middle part of Malaga's central Alameda boulevard has been delayed until February due to archaeological remains from an old fort.

A new pipe that was meant to channel water into the sea has to be redesigned to avoid them and authorities are investigating other solutions. The council says that this will not mean an increase in costs.
