Torremolinos town hall has approved a grant of 65,000 euros for the town's Emaús soup kitchen.

Emaús International, created in 1971, is an organisation of active solidarity, fighting against poverty and social exclusion. The branch in Torremolinos, situated in Plaza de Andalucía, is run solely by volunteers and serves around 200 people a day, 365 days a year.

The organisation caters for the six soup kitchens in Torremolinos, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner to those in need. It also operates a delivery service for those with reduced mobility.
