New mega cranes due to sail into Malaga port this Friday

Extra tall cranes are to be spectacularly sailed into Malaga port today (Friday) from 6am after a journey from Egypt.

Similar ones were removed a year ago, but now Noatum, a port operator, has signed a deal with shippers Maersk and aims to unload 200,000 containers a year using them.

The cranes are designed for larger, new generation Post Panamax ships.
