Huge cranes will return to Malaga port in three weeks

Shipping container traffic is expected to increase after a deal between Noatum logistics company and Maersk

Three 'Super-Post-Panamax' cranes will be installed on at the Noatum terminal of dock 9 at Malaga Port within the next three weeks.

An upcoming business contract between Noatum logistics company and Maersk, the world's largest container shipping company is expected to dramatically increase the number of containers that arrive in Malaga.

For this reason, 112-metre-high, specialist cranes will return to the port in order to manage container traffic. The cranes were last seen in Malaga in between 2013 and 2016.
