Two enthusiastic runners received a triumphant reception in Mijas on Tuesday, after competing in the Paris Marathon to raise funds for the Cudeca hospice.

Milly Fitzgerald and Tim Hulbert, both employees at DeVere financial advisers, returned from the French capital after completing the 26 mile race in four hours and thirty minutes, raising more than 1,000 euros in sponsors. They found the first twenty miles relatively easy, but Tim needed a little motivation from Milly in order to complete the last few miles.

It's amazing how you find a little extra energy to actually cross the line, Tim explained.

Carlos White, Cudeca fundraiser, said, Tim and Milly have done a fantastic job and we thank them for their tremendous efforts.
