Residents in Casares have voted on how best the council can spend 350,000 euros on local infrastructure and job-creation projects. The money will be split between the three centres of population in the municipality, Casares Pueblo, Casares Costa and Secadero. In the village, locals voted to improve the Camino de la Albarrá, while in Secadero residents wanted to improve the sports pitch. In the coastal area, the most voted schemes were improved storm drains and more summer parking spaces.
